At the Lodge
Amanzi Island Lodge offers an array of activities for our guests to enjoy - all free of charge. Cycle around the beautiful Isle or to Knysna town, go kayaking, paddle-boarding or swimming in the lagoon. Enjoy a dip in our private swimming pool, where you’ll be visited by the local birds, or take a leisurely stroll through the lagoon during low-tide. The lodge offers a variety of in-house games in all dining areas and lounges. We have 2 small libraries where you will find a wide selection of the books and 2 Apple Mac computers to surf the web from.
Discover Leisure Isle
Surrounded by soft white sand and washed by the ebb and flow of the Indian Ocean, Amanzi Island Lodge occupies prime position on the idyllic landscape in the Knysna lagoon. The area features a host of attractions such as, Bollard Bay Beach, Nadine's Corner on Leisure Isle (a lovely coffee and antique shop), the Leisure Isle Tennis Club and local library. Home to a large variety of birds, Leisure Isle is a birdwatcher's dream destination.
Explore Knysna
Explore Knysna and the array of little shops and scrumptious restaurants that our bustling town has to offer. Visit the famous Knysna Heads view point, the nearest beaches of Brenton on Sea, Buffels Bay and Coneyglen or the local crafts and farmers markets. The area also offers a range of activities including: Circles in the forest Hiking Trail Rheenendal Ramble forest walk, Featherbed boat cruises, whale and dolphin watching, township cultural tours, Knysna Elephant Park and golfing. For those who would like a bit of pampering, indulge in a treatment at one of the world-class spas nearby.

Some of these amazing experiences include paragliding, shark cage diving, bungee jumping and seeing the wildlife in our closest game reserves such as Tenikwa, Monkeyland, Birds of Eden.
